RP Hooks:

Bullet points and information that can be used specifically to make connections with Shara and start up some potential RP.

Appearance:

Shara is a bronze-skinned, pear-shaped, athletic figured Rava Viera, standing at 5'3" (160cm) without counting her ears, and 5'10" (178cm) when measuring her rabbit-like ears sprouting from her head, making her smaller than usual for a Viera. Her body slightly toned, but not overtly muscular as she exercises through her dancing, and has been known to be more physically active back in her days of wielding a rapier, and a gunblade during times of war. Her figure would be overall slim, yet curved from the waist down due to her wide hips, and thick rear adorned with a stubby, fluffy, black and purple rabbit-like tail above it, her chest however perky and slightly below average. Her skin soft, with small faded, faint scars upon her back, across her upper arms, and the backs of her thighs, whilst her face would be marked in Vieran tattoos, diamonds and triangles both filled and hollow upon the bridge of her nose, and having a cross-like shape under her lips in black ink, matching the black paint smeared as stripes upon her cheeks. From her head, Shara would have long, wavy, flowing black hair with royal purple streaks and tones mixed throughout it, even in the fluffy fur of her tall-standing Viera ears which her hair flows around. Those luscious locks of hair forming a slightly messy, trimmed fringe, her bangs kept to cover just her forehead above her dark, thin, shaped eyebrows, as to not cover her light brown eyes and affect her vision. Between and beneath her eyes would be her dainty, small, button nose marked in her Vieran tattoos, resting above her plump, plush, juicy lips. Upon her face, there would typically be light amounts of makeup, typically some foundation and concealer matching her skin tone, black eyeliner, mascara and faint eyeshadow, along with a more notable layer of glossy, shiny, dark purple lipstick layered over her lips.Typically, Shara would wear either traditional Vieran attire, with tribal-styled designs, colourful fabrics, high-heeled shoes, and adorned in bright shining gems, long feathers, and flowers. Or more casual Dalmascan loose-fitting attire mixed with classic Viera high-heel boots, often still in her chosen colour of purple for the fabric. Sometimes, her more recent style of attire would be Thavnairian, both for casual clothing and for her performing, using silky, bright, eye-catching colours and materials, often going for a shiny purple silk, satin, and/or velvet, and keeping plenty of her bronze skin and pear-thletic figure on show to show herself off proudly.

Background:

Shara was born fourty-five years before the Calamity, in the village of Camoa, deep within the Golmore Jungle. Upon coming of age, she trained in the arts of healing, learning the art of conjury to work with the elements of the forest to defend it from outsiders, and aid her fellow Rava. However, nineteen years after she was born, the Garlean Empire conquered the lands of Dalmasca, and spread throughout it's surrounding territories in their conquest for Nagxia. The Golmore Jungle renamed 'Dalmasca Inferior' as the Garleans assaulted, raided, and struck at the Rava lands. During one such attack, as Shara was tending to the wounds of her people on the frontlines, she was captured, taken as a prisoner, a slave, a non-citizen, and taken by force to the city of Lea Monde. Now named 'Shara Aan Camoa' in Lea Monde, she was forced to work in a Garlean pleasure house for their soldiers, to be treated as a non-citizen and slave for at least twenty-years under Garlean rule. However, during this time, Shara would learn Thaumaturgy, twisting her own known magics of Conjury to become the more dangerous and offensive magics. Joining a local rebel cell, communicating with them whenever she could amidst her forced 'labour' at the Garlean pleasure house, listening in to the secrets the soldiers would openly discuss around her and other captured Viera slaves, and sharing them with the rebels, one of which, would be a travelling Red Mage from the lands of Ala Mhigo, Lambard Blackthorne. After eight long years of having to service Garlean soldiers in a Lea Monde pleasure house, whilst now being twenty-seven years old. The rebel cell of Lea Monde would join the other Dalmascan rebellions, and rise up, riots and attacks having the Garleans losing control of the Dalmascan lands and cities, where Shara would join, using her self-studies Thaumaturgy to fight back and get vengeance on her oppressors. However, as Livia Sas Junius was brought in to retake the lands, slaughtering rebels and their leaders. Shara was offered a chance to escape, to abandon the lands of Dalmasca with Lambard Blackthorne, who saw her skills in both Conjury and Thaumaturgy, and offered to bring her back to Ala Mhigo with him before the Garlean forces could retake Lea Monde, and either execute, or re-enslave Shara. An offer she took, boarding a final ship out of Lea Monde, that took her to the lands of Eorzea, where Lambard would train her to become a Red Mage just like him.Upon arriving in Ala Mhigo, Shara began her training under the tutelage of Lambard Blackthorne, learning to mix both Conjury and Thaumaturgy together to wield Red Magic, and how to properly wield a rapier. However, her tutelage was short lived, as the Crimson Duelists of whom Lambard was a part of, needed to come together, to try stop the mad tyranny of Theoderic, Lambard not believing Shara to be fully ready to join them, and being non-native to Ala Mhigo, asked her to remain behind, away from their crusade and attempts to help the Ala Mhigan people. Unfortunately, after two years of training under Lambard, her instructor did not return, as he, along with many Red Mages of the Crimson Duelists order, were wiped out... Leaving Shara on her own in a strange land, to travel it, using her newfound skills to do what she had been trained to do. To defend and aid the helpless, to show stoicism and selflessness, and do all she can to help others she comes across in her travels as a solo Red Mage. Many years later, during her time travelling the lands, saving lives, and protecting the innocent, the Calamity would strike, finding herself like many others, protected and saved from it's devastation, and coming to in a world reborn. Continuing her work until the war between Eorzean Alliance, and Garlean Empire, where Baelsar's wall was taken. Seeing a chance to properly put an end to the Garlean Empire's conquest of those lands, Shara would aid the Eorzean Alliance forces from the outside, organising ambushes on Imperial forces, even stealing an advanced Magitek Gunblade, in which she used her talents to infuse it's shells with magic, to better strike, and defend others against the Garleans. The Empire's own weaponry used against them to devastating effect by Shara, until finally, they were forced out of Ala Mhigo, and across the sea, her old homeland of Dalmasca, and the lands of Nagxia. And with that freedom for Ala Mhigo, Shara laid her rapier and red attire to rest, beside the makeshift grave for her old tutor, Lambard. In the late days of the war, Shara would fight the Empire with Gunblade in hand, now properly joining the Eorzean Alliance and venturing into their lands to meet it's people. Doing so all the way up until the end of the war in full, and the events of the Final Days where she would continue to defend the innocent and defenceless. Until finally, Shara would live to see days of peace, the end of war, the end of Garlean conquest, a time where she could finally lay down her Gunblade, and take a rest from using her magics. Taking time to rediscover herself, to relearn the history, culture, and heritage of her people as best she can, finding a love for cooking and baking, especially recipes native to the Rava Viera. As for starting a new life without needing to fight, Shara would take up the art of Dancing, learning the Thavnairian art of the Kriegstanz, an ancient and martial form of dancing that was both mesmerising, inspiring, and deadly. Aided by her natural Vieran deftness and agility, she would find joy in bringing entertainment to others through her dancing, even learning traditional Viera dances to perform and share more of her culture with all people who would watch her dance. And should she ever need, use her talents in throwing chakrams, war quoits, glaives, and tathlums to defend others in her travels, but never seeking out such trouble. And so, now, Shara would be a travelling dancer, aiming to perform, and even teach others in such an elegant and awe-inspiring art, whilst cooking and baking, sharing in her Rava culture however she can with those she befriends. All whilst back home, in Radz-At-Han in Thavnair, she would care for her child, Avery, with the help of both Avery's father, and a local community of displaced Viera who carry on the traditional of communal childcare, allowing Shara to continue her travels and work as a Dancer.

RP Hooks:

  • Shara was born in Camoa Village within the Golmore Jungle, other Rava Viera from that village may recognise her from when she lived there from birth, until she was nineteen. (So she was around the village from fifty to thirty-one years ago!) And so, other Rava Viera from that region may recognise her specifically as being one of the young Conjurers of Camoa village in that time period, tending to wounds and using the elements of the jungle to help defend it from outsiders.

  • Was known as Shara Aan Camoa when she was forcefully taken from the Golmore Jungle, and made to work in a Lea Monde pleasure house for Garlean Soldiers from when she was nineteen, until she was twenty-seven. And so Garleans, other slaves, and others who lived or were in Lea Monde around thirty-one to twenty-three years ago, may recognise or know her from those dark days. Either from her time as a slave, or when she joined the rebellion in temporarily retaking Lea Monde in the Dalmascan uprisings.

  • Came to the lands of Ala Mhigo at age twenty-seven with a Crimson Duelist Red Mage known as Lambard Blackthorne around twenty-three years ago, where she trained with him for two years, before the Crimson Duelists were nearly wiped out. During that time, and for around sixteen years after the fall of the Crimson Duelists, Shara could often be found around the lands of Ala Mhigo, helping those in need, defending people from monsters, Garleans, and other threats, and travelling about until the Calamity. So anyone within the lands of Ala Mhigo during that time, may have been helped, saved, or simply come across the solo Red Mage Viera.

  • When the Eorzean Alliance took Baelsar's wall, and began fighting the Empire to try free Ala Mhigo, Shara was often be found launching ambushes on Garlean forces, either alone, or with other rebels. Wearing makeshift armour and wielding an advanced Magitek Gunblade, it's ammunition imbued with her magics to use the Empire's own technology and power against them. Those who fought in Ala Mhigo against the Garlean Empire, may have bumped into Shara during that time, befriending her, or simply fighting alongside her in those lands. Recalling her to be far more vengeful and aggressive than she is now.

  • After Ala Mhigo, Yanxia, and Dalmasca were freed from Garlean rule, Shara will have travelled the lands of Eorzea proper, leaving Ala Mhigo and getting to meet more of the world's races, socialising with more people in cities such as Ul'dah, Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, and Ishgard. Still wielding a Gunblade and light armour, and still fighting the Garlean Empire, meaning that others may have joined her and fought alongside her in various ventures during those times, or simply come across a Gunblade toting Viera intent on defending others, and fighting their oppressors during those later days of the Alliance-Garlean war.

  • Since the end of the war, and final days, Shara now travels across the world as a Dancer, both performing and training others in the Thavnairian Kriegstanz, and traditional Vieran dances. Whilst having her own home within Radz-At-Han, where others living in Thavnair may know her and see her around often with her young Viera child, Avery. Meaning that locals of Radz-At-Han and Thavnair at large, especially other Viera living in the region, may easily recognise and know her. Those who often watch travelling dancers perform across the world, may have seen her perform before. And those who seek to learn the art of dancing, may have heard of her, wishing to seek her out for lessons.
